With more and more farmers moving court against land acquisition, the Greater Noida authority had stopped all development works in Noida Extension villages, apprehending further quashing orders might undo even the existing projects. But the process of development has resumed now.

"Most Noida Extension villages have been getting electricity supply from Ghaziabad, which is erratic. Now, a dedicated supply will be made from Noida," CEO Rama Raman said. "The district magistrate will on Tuesday solve most problems of farmers on the spot," he added.

Disgruntled elements said some farmers refused to sign the agreement individually. They also claimed security forces were deployed in the village to maintain law and order.

Raman, however, said, "There's no trouble now. The agreement has been reached with a 15-member village committee. Our aim was to get the signatures from the 30-odd farmers who had moved court. If all farmers do it individually, we will be happier."
