During the telephonic conversation on Friday, both the leaders agreed that the pipeline project was quite conducive to the three parties concerned and hoped that the tariff would also be decided amicably.

It was decided that petroleum secretary Waqar Ahmad would visit Tehran next month to hold talks on the issue.

Musharraf supported Iran's nuclear programme for peaceful purposes and wished the issue would be resolved through dialogue, the Online news agency reported.
