The young suicide bomber, who has attended various militant training camps in Pakistan and has an expertise in operating pistols, missiles and suicide jackets, was nabbed when he was hiding near the fence to note down BSF locations.

Although what sort of destruction he was planning is yet to be clear but the accused has admitted that their was plan to infiltrate seven Pakistani nationals from this border and he was working on various secrecy elements.

Interestingly, Arshad who has got training at various militant training centres in Pakistan, has also got training in the district Okhara, which is also the district of Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab.

Detailing over the entire issue, BSF DIG. Mohammad Aquil, said, “Our constables spotted this boy near the fence while he was sitting near the bushes at border pillar number 101/8 on Tuesday. After the capture of Arshad, it has come to light that Arshad hails from Singpura Area in Lahore and is a potential suicide Bomber.’’

Nuwan claimed that thereafter he ran away from there and later in October was again picked by same people in a Corrola car and given training in Okhara, the district from where Kasab hails, told the DIG.

This is something really serious and we are still to know that what exactly the plan was but as the accused is very sharp and well trained, things look dangerous, said DIG Aquil.

Nuwan Arshad, who is young boy also told the media about the entire training he went through and also disclosed that there was a plan to infiltrate seven Pakistanis into India through Attari border. In this seven, three were supposed to be women, added Nuwan.

It may be mentioned that recently Pakistan security agencies had claimed to nab few youth with Taliban links, who aimed at causing destruction at the retreat ceremony.

However DIG Mohammad Aquil claimed that still there was no link between this capture and the Taliban plot.

On a question, the DIG said, “Efforts of infiltration have always been made by Pakistan and this could fact that seven people planning to come India could have planned something dangerous.”

The DIG also denied to disclose the exact age of the nabbed Pakistani but said he is a young boy.

It may be mentioned that over the past one year, this border has turned very sensitive. Apart from events of smuggling, Pakistan has thrice launched rocket attacks on India from this border. And with this massive catch, more big revelations are likely to emerge.
