Pakistani intruder shot dead by BSF near Bharopal border

An intruder from Pakistan was shot dead by the Border Security Force (BSF) near the Bharopal border out post in Amritsar sector in the early hours of Sunday .

According to sources, a BSF patrol team confronted the intruders who returned shots in retaliation.

In the gun-battle that ensued, one intruder was killed while another was injured. The injured was pulled to the Pakistan side by his accomplices, said BSF sources.

A BSF spokesperson said 9 kg heroine, packed in polythene packets, was recovered during search, adding that the intruder was a Pakistan-based smuggler.
