The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) will contest on all 87 assembly constituencies in the upcoming assembly elections scheduled to be held in November-December. Party supremo Prof Bhim Singh announced this while talking to reporters on Monday. He clarified that there would be no alliance with any political party. "Panthers party will not compromise or share any political platform with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or any other communal, anti-national or pro-militancy groups or parties,"he added.
On reorganisation of J&K, he said the formation of the state of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and Gilgit in 1846 was highly unnatural and therefore reorganisation by defining the administrative units (states) was inevitable and in the interest of the people of all the regions.
This requires amendment in the Article 370.
Prof Singh further said the Panthers Party would announce the line of action on July 6 to achieve its agenda and fulfill its commitment.
"The party shall achieve its target 50 plus in the coming assembly elections in November 2014,"he claimed.
In a reply to a question, he stated that he would not be contesting any elections either to the assembly or Lok Sabha anymore.
He said it was only JKNPP which enjoyed acceptability of the people of all regions of the state and was capable to solve the problems of the people with honour and dignity.
