Parliament's Budget session from Feb 25

Subject to exigencies of Govt business, the session is likely to conclude on May 13, a Lok Sabha release said.

The two-and-half month-long Budget session of Parliament will begin on February 25 with President APJ Abdul Kalam's address to members of both the Houses.

The President will address a joint sitting of both Houses, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, in the Central Hall of Parliament House at 11 am on the opening day, a Lok Sabha release said.

Subject to exigencies of government business, the session is likely to conclude on May 13, it said.

The Railway Budget is proposed to be presented on February 26 followed by tabling of the Economic Survey the next day and the General Budget on February 28.

In order to enable the Standing Parliamentary Committees consider the demands for grants of Ministries and Departments and prepare their reports, the House will adjourn on March 24 to meet again on April 18.
