Passenger attempts suicide in plane at Hyderabad

A passenger on Saturday allegedly attempted suicide inside a plane at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Shamshabad area in Hyderabad, police said.

The passenger identified as Mohd Imtiyaz slit his throat using a blade in the washroom of the flight which arrived from Dubai at the airport, they said adding it is not yet clear as to why he resorted to the act.

"He (passenger) has been admitted to a hospital and is still unconscious," RGIA police inspector A Krishnaiah said.
