The Morcha has been protesting the advertisement issued by UP Public Service Commission, by which the age of candidates aspiring to join State judicial services would be calculated from July 1, 2007. The lawyers were of the view that as this vacancy was not announced in two consecutive years i.e. 2004 and 2005, there should be relaxation in the upper age limit to accommodate those candidates who became overage during 2004 and 2006.

Morcha president Jitendra Nayak said those who participated in the agitation included ex-vice-president of HC Bar Association Sanjiv Kumar Pandey, Abhisek Tiwari, Ashutosh Pandey, Harsh Vardhan, Rajesh Tripathi, Pawan Bhardwaj and others.
