BJP leader and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma on Saturday said it had become imperative to defeat regressive and communal forces like the NC, the Congress and the PDP in the upcoming assembly elections.
While touring Sunderbani and Kalakot areas of the Jammu-Poonch constituency, he said, "If Jammu and Kashmir has to become developed and the people's socio-economic status has to be elevated, then they have to defeat the NC, the Congress and the PDP, and contribute to BJP's Mission 44+ so that it forms a democratic and secular government in the state".
While the NC was demanding a complete independence from India on the ground that Jammu and Kashmir was a state with a majority of Muslims, the PDP was demanding a separate nation under the garb of its pernicious self-rule demand, Sharma said.
"The PDP is not only demanding a joint India-Pakistan control over the state, but is also demanding autonomy from India as its self-rule contains the element of nation state," he said.
He stated, "These are communal and divisive demands, which no state worth its name would ever concede. The BJP's single-point agenda is to integrate the state fully into India and establish democracy in the state so that people of all the three regions lead dignified lives as Indian nationals."
