Taking a leaf out of the BJP’s campaign for the Lok Sabha elctions, party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has been sending personal invitations to party workers for PDP conventions being held at his residence. The objective behind this move, the PDP leaders say, is to make the workers feel part of policy making and concentrate on a grassroot-level election campaign.

“We want the workers to feel part of the party’s policy-making excercise. A personal invitation in the worker’s name signed by Mufti sahib gives them a sense of belonging,’’ he said.

Written on the party’s letter head, the letter talks about challenges that “Kashmiris are faced with in the present political scenario and the road ahead’’.

“As the challenges faced by people are grave, I intend to know your opinion on how do we go about fighting them. Your opinions and ideas are more valuable in the post-flood situation as we have a huge challenge of rebuilding Kashmir ahead of us,’’ Sayeed writes in the letter.
