"We welcome the Prime Minister's initiative on Kashmir announced at the conclusion of the roundtable conference in here yesterday," PDP president Mehbooba Mufti told reporters.

She said the Prime Minister had given out a questionnaire to the participants in the roundtable seeking their suggestions on various issues, including the confidence-building measures across segments of the society and the Line of control.

"The institution that needs to be strengthened most in Jammu and Kahsmir is the state legislature as unfortunately it has been undermined in the past," she said.
