Letters have often been a powerful tool in politics and Prime Minister Narendra Modi too, has added them in manner of connecting with people. Ahead of Teachers’ Day, Modi wrote an e-letter addressed to all teachers, asking them to widen the horizon of students’ thought process.
On August 25, after launching the Jan-Dhan Yojna, Modi had written an open letter to all bank officers, asking them to accord highest priority to the scheme. Officials added that on all important occasions in future, the PM will almost certainly write letters to stakeholders.
However, it is not just Modi who has focused himself in writing letters. Sources claim that mails received by the prime minister’s office (PMO) also do not skip the attention of the top order.
Recently, the top brass of external affairs ministry (MEA) was requested to meet a young graduate. When an official asked the visitor about how many times he had met the PM before being granted the MEA meeting. “I had just mailed my ideas to his office,” he replied.
