As part of the elaborate security measures at the Sankat Mochan Temple which was rocked by a terror attack two months ago, the authorities have banned the use of mobile phones and cameras inside the shrine with immediate effect.

The decision was taken by the district administration last night at a meeting to review security measures at sensitive religious shrines in the district, sources said.
The pilgrims have been asked not to carry mobile phones and cameras inside the temple. Locker rooms have been set up outside the temple complex for keeping belongings, the sources said.
Earlier, the district administration had installed metal detectors at the temple gate in March for checking the pilgrims and other persons following the blast inside the temple premise on March 7 in which several pilgrims were killed.
