PIDA in a release today said it has "issued a notice" to the film production house `Red Chilles Entertainment' owned by actor Shah Rukh Khan for the illegal use of domestic and wild animals in his home production film `Paheli'.
The release said the film-makers have used camels in a scene performing camel race in which they have cruelly beaten the camels and forced them to run fast.
PIDA said it will be filing a Public Interest Litigation and will demand stopping the release of the film.
The actor was not available for his comments despite repeated efforts.
