The body of 22-year-old trainee pilot Anil Sunil Ahire, who died in an airplane crash at a pilot training centre in California, the US, on December 11, will reach Mumbai on Friday.

“From Mumbai, we will take the body to his Jalgaon home for the final rites,” said Madhukar Sonawane, Ahire’s cousin.
Sonawane said Ahire had joined the Allied Wings pilot training institute at Marol a year ago. Three months ago, he had joined the Aviation Pacific Institute in California.
