"Plebiscite is the only way to resolve the Kashmir tangle which is lingering for five decades," he said in Srinagar.

The Chairman of the hardline faction of the Hurriyat Conference, who returned after performing Haj, said there was an urgent need to resolve the issue as most countries favoured lasting peace in the subcontinent.
