PMK delegation leaves for Delhi to meet PM
A PMK delegation headed by Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss on Tuesday left for Delhi to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil to apprise them of the political situation arising out of the detention of party leader J Guru under the National Security Act (NSA).
Anbumani said before their departure that the delegation would explain to the central leaders about the state government's "misuse" of the NSA provisions.
Guru, who was recently arrested in connection with a case relating to attempt to murder, was detained under the NSA on July 10.
