Valentine’s Day is not just about flowers, chocolates and candlelight dinners anymore. ‘Date different’ seems to be the mantra for most young couples, which directly leads to the hunt for creative ways to express your feelings on this special day. Well, quirky animated cards have replaced boring greeting cards, as has a chopper ride replaced cruising along a car.

For TV actor Barsha Bisht, it has to be well planned and lavish when it comes to that special day. “I’m a sea-loving person, I’d want to be taken to a beach… a private beach. It’s cliché, but it would be awesome to enjoy a cozy dinner in the middle of the sea on a private yatch,” laughs Bisht.

Shweta Keshwani echoes the feeling: “A beach basket with different kinds of cheese, caviar and chocolates would be lovely. Maybe he should carry bathing suits… and we can go for a swim. A back massage with expensive aromatic oils is really romantic too.”

Actor Chunky Pandey seems to have already used that one: “We’re taking off to Alibaug on a friend’s yacht to attend a wedding actually. We’re going to chill on the beach after it’s over.”

However, not everyone is upbeat about celebrating V-Day. Director Shirish Kunder hasn’t planned anything. “I’m too tied up with work. We are staying home; maybe we’ll call a few close friends over and drink on our terrace.”

While, the traditional romantics like it personal, some couples like, Vindu Dara Singh and his wife, prefer partying their way into the day. Since Singh will not be in the city on February 14, he has planned to take his wife out to the open-air bar — Aer — before he leaves. “We could go party at Escobar too. I have to make up for not being there on the D-day you see,” he jokes.
