Addressing a demonstration by refugees outside the Press Club here on Wednesday, PoJK Refugee Front Committee president Rachhpal Singh said, "The government must fulfill the demand of final settlement of refuges by January 25, otherwise the refugees of PoJK Chamb, Bhimber, Mirpur, Kotli, Palandary, Manawar, Nah, Muzaffarabad and Poonch will hold protest demonstrations at all blocks, tehsils and districts of Jammu against the government apathy on January 26."
He alleged, "The revenue minister got recommendation of package for Kashmiri migrants from the state cabinet, but did not put up the proposal of final settlement package for refugees before the cabinet for recommendations. This is blatant discrimination and has compelled the refugees to launch a stronger agitation."
Raising anti-government slogans, the refugees criticised the government for remaining insensitive towards their demands.
