Police probe into late-night visit by 3 strangers

Police said that the trio had visited Mahajan's residence twice in the night and allegedly had champagne with the two.

Preliminary police investigation into the suspected food poisoning of Rahul Mahajan and the death of his Vivek Moitra, Pramod mahajan's secretary is centred around the three strangers who had visited his residence late Thursday night.

Police said that the trio had visited Mahajan's residence twice in the night and allegedly had champagne with the two.

"We are trying to ascertain the identities of the three and investigations are on in that direction," New Delhi Additional DCP Manish Aggarwal said.

He said that police had recovered some 'white powder' in a polythene bag from the scene and that it had been sent for chemical examination.

"It is a very small sample and details about it would be known only after chemical examination," he added.
