Police rescue abducted 3-yr-old from railway stn

In yet another kidnapping incident in Panchsheel Nagar district, the 3-year-old son of a businessman from Pilkhuwa town was rescued by police from the Ghaziabad railway station area on late Saturday night.

In yet another kidnapping incident in Panchsheel Nagar district, the 3-year-old son of a businessman from Pilkhuwa town was rescued by police from the Ghaziabad railway station area on late Saturday night.

The kidnappers, who had come to the station to collect the ransom of R20 lakh, fled after seeing the police.

The child was abducted by unidentified persons from a shop near his house at Shivaji Nagar area of Pilkhuwa at around 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon.

After their search proved futile, the family informed the police.

The minor's father, Sushil Kumar Goyal, received a ransom call from kidnappers at around 6pm on Saturday

who demanded a ransom of R20 lakh for the safe return of the child.

On Saturday evening, the kidnappers told the family to place the cash on the railway tracks near Kotgaon area of Ghaziabad, around 1km from Ghaziabad railway station.

The kidnappers told the family that the child would be released after the cash was placed.

The child was recovered by joint teams of the Ghaziabad and Panchsheel Nagar district police officials at around 11pm on late Saturday night, nearly nine hours after he was kidnapped.

This is the second incident of kidnapping from Panchsheel Nagar area within a span of 19 days.
