Police rules out terror threat to IIFI

The Goa Police on Thursday ruled out terror threat to the forthcoming International Film festival of India to be held in Panaji between November 23 and December 3.

The Goa Police on Thursday ruled out terror threat to the forthcoming International Film festival of India to be held in Panaji between November 23 and December 3.

Police spokesman Atmaram Deshpande said they have not received any intelligence input about IFFI being on terrorists radar. He said media reports about terror threat to the festival was rumour.

A section of media had quoted home ministry as seeking security for IFFI as it was a target of LeT.
