Police search Atif's village for clues

A joint team of Delhi police and Uttar Pradesh Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Tuesday conducted searches in Delhi serial blasts main accused Atif's native village in Azamgarh district, official sources said in Lucknow.
The team reached Sanjarpur area in Saraimeer village in the wee hours and questioned relatives and conducted searches to find clues relating to the blast case, ATS sources said.
The team, the sources said, has succeeded in tracing a bank account of Atif in Pawai branch of a nationalised bank through which transactions of over Rs three crores were done in the past six months.
The bank manager will also be questioned besides relatives of the accused, they said.
A chopper was also flown from Lucknow to Azamgarh to facilitate arrest, if any, so that those nabbed could be flown to Delhi or Lucknow, they said.
The ATS sources said the Delhi police had got some leads during interrogation of those arrested after an encounter in the capital on Friday about the links of terrorists in Azamgarh.
