Buoyed with the joining of rebel JD(U) leader Prabhunath Singh, RJD president Lalu Prasad on Saturday said political change in Bihar after the Assembly polls later this year was "inevitable".
"It (political change) has now become inevitable The ineffective Nitish Kumar government is bound to go after the Assembly polls later this year," Prasad told a janata mahapanchayat, organised by Singh.
Prasad said the RJD would ensure ten per cent reservation for the economically backward upper caste people in jobs in the event of its coming to power.
"I have taken a lot of lessons from the past Please give us a chance afresh to come upto people's expectations," he said.
The RJD supremo promised regularisation of services of teachers and other employees appointed on contract during the Nitish Kumar regime if the party was voted to power.
Praising Singh for joining the RJD, Prasad said his services would be used at the time of elections.
"We feel that the RJD has emerged stronger to defeat the communal and fascist forces represented by the NDA," he said.

{{/usCountry}}Two JD(U) legislators Rampravesh Rai (Chapra) and Kedar Nath Singh (Masrakh) also joined the party along with Singh, who was Lok Sabha member thrice from Maharajganj.
