As people from Poorvanchal are a formidable vote-bank, politicians didn’t want to miss the public relations exercise. Almost all MLAs of both the Congress and BJP visited their constituencies to greet people.

Dikshit, who is in a wheelchair, went to four places to greet the people. She visited R.K. Ashram Marg, Bhalswa-Jehangirpuri, Wazirabad and ITO bridge.

She covered the places in two hours and supervised administrative arrangements.

Finance and UD Minister A.K. Walia attended three different Chhath functions.

Social Welfare Minister Rajkumar Chauhan and Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely each attended two functions.

Nasirpur MLA Mahabal Mishra toured his constituency and then accompanied ministers to pujas.
