Pre-monsoon rains lash Capital

With day temperatures expected to go down by 3-4 degrees Celsius, Delhiites can look forward to good weather.

The umbrellas were out and stretches of road got flooded as heavy pre-monsoon rains the New Delhi on Tuesday morning, bringing respite after days of hot humid weather.

Till 8.30 am 2 mm of rainfall was recorded, said a Met official.

The capital would experience a few spells of heavy showers with the rainy weather condition likely to continue for a day, he said.

The monsoon is set to hit the capital on June 29.

With the day temperatures expected to go down by 3-4 degrees Celsius, Delhiites can look forward to some good weather, he said.

On Monday, the maximum temperature was 32.5 degrees, six degrees below normal, and the minimum was 24.8 degrees, 4 degrees below normal.
