A section of the police investigating the case, claimed that she boarded a flight from Los Angeles on Friday and was scheduled to arrive in Mumbai early on Saturday morning, a senior officer supervising the investigation told HT that she had left the US on Thursday and landed in London on Friday. “She did not get a confirmed ticket from London on Friday and in all likelihood, she might fly on Saturday and reach Mumbai by Sunday,” the officer added. There was no confirmation from her lawyer about her scheduled arrival in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, the police recorded the statement of two more witnesses Jay Kanaujiya and Danish Merchant — close friends of the actor and Ness Wadia.

With the help of officials from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the police confirmed the two were present at the time of the incident.
