The Office of Profit (OoP) Bill, returned by President APJ Abdul Kalam for reconsideration by Parliament, will be taken up by the two Houses in the Monsoon Session beginning last week of July.
"The issue was not discussed at today's meeting of the Union Cabinet. The matter will be debated, discussed and considered in the Monsoon session. There is no thinking on the part of the government to hurriedly hold the Monsoon session," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi said on Friday night.
Asked as to when the Monsoon session would be held, he said normally it takes place in the last week of July and the dates for it would be finalised by the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA), headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Replying to questions, Dasmunsi said "seriously we have no plan in mind at the moment to advance the Monsoon session" during which the Bill would be taken up.
Congress sources said the Bill may be returned to the President "as it is" as the suggestions made by Kalam could not be incorporated for a variety of reasons.

{{/usCountry}}To a question if the Election Commission goes on fast track with regard to the disqualification complaints against MPs and MLAs pending before it, Dasmunsi said, "I am not competent enough to comment on what the Election Commission does".
He parried a question as to whether the government would bring about a change in the present Bill.
The message of the President, returning the Bill, has already been published in the Lok Sabha bulletin and the matter would be discussed in a normal and routine manner in Parliament.
To another question on whether an Ordinance could be considered by the Government, the Minister said such a question did not arise since the President himself had sent back the Bill.
A decision on when the CCPA would meet was yet to be taken, he added.
