Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to visit Japan

Singh is talking about a bilateral FTA and will discuss a strategic dialogue framework with Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Japan from December 13 and hold talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Kyodo News reported Tuesday.

Singh and Abe are to talk about a bilateral free trade agreement and are expected to discuss a strategic dialogue framework to strengthen ties on security, energy and economic issues, the Japanese foreign ministry spokesman said.

Singh is also scheduled to meet with Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko.
