Principal Secy among 20 officers transferred in J&K

The Jammu and Kashmir Government has transferred 20 officers, including Principal Secretary to Governor, with a view to streamline the administration.

The Jammu and Kashmir Government has transferred 20 officers, including Principal Secretary to Governor, with a view to streamline the administration.

The decision was taken in a state cabinet meeting last evening, an official spokesman said.

B B Vyas, the Principal Secretary to the Governor, was replaced by another senior IAS officer, Raj Kumar Goyal, the spokesman said.

Goyal will also hold the additional charge of chief executive officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board.

Vyas has been asked to report to General Administration Department (GAD) for further posting. However, he will report to the GAD after the completion of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra.

The other officers transferred include Mandeep Kumar Bandari, deputy commissioner, Jammu, who has been transferred and posted as additional chief executive officer Vaishnodevi Shrine Board, replacing MK Dwivedi, who in turn was made the Jammu deputy commissioner, and Baseer Ahmad Khan, vice chairman, Srinagar Development Authority, who has been made custodian general J&K, replacing Kifayat Hussain Rizvi, who is the new Srinagar Development Authority vice chairman.
