Three pro-democracy activists of Nepalese origin were arrested from a hotel here on Tuesday for anti-India activity.

Bhutan National Democratic Party General Secretary DNS Dhakal, President of Democratic Youth of Bhutan Mohan Tamang and Refugees settlement committee member Narayan Subedy were picked up from a hotel for anti-India activity, according to Siliguri Additonal Superintendent of Police Kallol Gunaik.

They came here from refugee camps in Nepal to address a scheduled press conference to focus about the plight of about 1.2 lakh Bhutanese refugees now living at camps in Eastern Nepal.
