Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja sought presence of accused Mohammed Saif, Zeeshan Ahmad, Mohammed Shakeel, Zia-ur-Rehman and Saquib Nissar from Gujarat police before the court on December eight.

Gujarat police had secured the custody all the five suspected members of Indian Mujaheedin from a court here on October 27, claiming that their names emerged following interrogation of 27 other accused, who have been arrested in July 26 serial blasts in Ahmedabad.

They had also alleged that five suspects were amongst those who had planted the bombs in the Ahmedabad city, which claimed 56 lives and left several others injured.

The court had on November 10 issued the similar warrants against the five accused for today.

Amongst the five accused, Saif was arrested following the Batla House encounter in Jamia Nagar in south Delhi on September 19 while Zeeshan was apprehended the same evening from Jhandewalan area in Central Delhi.

The serial blasts in the Capital had claimed 26 lives and injured several others.

An alleged co-founder of Indian Mujahideen Mohd Sadiq Sheikh and its member Quaumuddin, brought from Ahmedabad and Ujjain, respectively, are undergoing custodial interrogation of the Delhi Police in the blast case.
