It will also reduce the travel time on the stretch from 30 minutes to 7 minutes.

Besides, the six-lane main carriageways on both sides along the National Highway-8 — from the Delhi-Gurgaon toll plaza to DLF Square Building — will significantly reduce the time taken by office-goers to commute from the highway to the Cyber City.

At present, it takes nearly 20-25 minutes to pass through the half kilometre stretch.

The road will also cater to the augmentation in traffic volume along the Golf Course Road, which is a hub of existing and upcoming commercial and residential complexes.

The residents of Golf Course Extension road, another upcoming major residential and commercial hub, will be able to use the road too.

The project will be fully integrated with the upcoming Rapid Metro, which is planned to come up on the sectoral road's median on the 3.5 km patch in an elevated form.

A dedicated utilities corridor for sewerage, electric lines and telecom cables to avoid digging for future maintenance, state-of-the-art landscaping and road furniture will be the highlights of the new road.

With this, the rent of both corporate and residential houses alongside the new road are likely to reach their premiums.
