Less than 60 days to go and there is one factor uniting the venues of the Commonwealth Games.
None of them have been officially handed over to the Organising Committee or the federations.
Bowling Federation of India (BFI) president, Sunaina Kumari, responsible for the lawn bowls team, said,
"The venue will not be handed over to us before the end of the month. Fortunately, we have alternative practice venues, and also get some time at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (JNS, the venue). But it would have been better had the venue have been completed earlier."
The BFI is upbeat about the sport, as the Games will bring a lot more Indians in contact with a sport that is low on the popular charts.
However, there is a question mark when it comes to the legacy of the Games.
One of the key points in favour of hosting the event in Delhi was that the infrastructure created would benefit the populace and become home to sporting activities for years to come.
It has been decided, however, that the structures around the lawn bowls' venue, which accommodate viewing galleries, lounges for players, officials and media, as well as other essential offices, would be temporary structures, even for the final event.

{{/usCountry}}This has cast doubts over whether the venue would actually remain with the BFI.
"Even though the structures will be temporary, they can still be used for 15-20 years", said Sunaina.
"But we are concerned about the future of the sport, so we are not putting all our eggs into the JNS basket," she added.
The federation has been speaking to its partners and developing alternate centres in the country.
Given that it is not a mainstream sport, the future of lawn bowls may be bright, but the entire premise of the 'legacy of the Games' is certainly debatable.
