"This is happening because you ( people) are keeping mum against injustice. You must raise your voice", he said.

Setting a direct dialogue with farmers the Congress leader elaborated " When we mounted pressure, the ruling government pretended to bring out a new policy for land acquisition. Surprisingly it is not applicable in places where theft is being carried out", he said elaborating that Congress will place a new land acquisition bill in next session of Parliament to put an effective check on it.

On second day of his ' padyatra', which he began from village Rampur of Jewar area, Rahul Gandhi addressed gatherings of villagers in Sabota, Jewar bypass and Alawalpur. Walking on gravel road, on the side of controversial 'Yamuna Expressway', Rahul greeted almost every passerby including ice cream vendor, tongawala, school children, villagers and labourers. He shook hands and asked their well being. At many places people gathered to see him and youngsters left no chance to grab his picture in their mobile phones.

Expressing his anger against wrong policies of the state government, Rahul, in village Sabota, exhorted villagers to mount pressure on state government against wrong policies of state government. And people reciprocated him by renting air with slogans like' Rahul Gandhi zindabad' and 'We want Congress back'.

In village Alawalpur, many women came to bless him. Here villagers narrated their tale of sorrow to young leader. "We received lathi and bullets when raised protested against acquisition of our land", said villagers demanding Rahul to protect them from the atrocities of the state government.
