Warning Congress that attempts to make Judeo episode a poll issue would boomerang on it, Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani on Thursday said voters in election-bound states are too mature to be hoodwinked by such moves as they want good governance.

Perhaps to conceal "misrule" in Congress-ruled states, an attempt was made in Chhattisgarh to raise the allegation against Judeo as a political issue, he told reporters here.
He further said that the issue would be counter-productive as people are mature and wise.
Two days after saying that Dilip Singh Judeo, who quit as Union minister in the wake of cash-on-camera scam, would be the party's star campaigner, the DPM asserted "the party has only one star campaigner and that is Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee."
"But Judeo remains an important poll campaigner for us," he said.
