Raj Babbar’s assets over rupees 11 crore
Bollywood actor of yesteryears and Congress candidate Raj Babbar on Wednesday filed his nomination papers for Firozabad Lok Sabha seat and declared assets worth over Rs 11 crore, which also included his wife Nadira Babbar assets.

Babbar, who was accompanied by AICC general secretary Dijvijay Singh and UPCC president Rita Bahuguna Joshi after filing nominations said that he will definitely win the elections, as the UPA government had done a lot for the people of the country.
According to affidavit filed, Raj Babbar has Rs 4.4 lakh cash in hand, while his wife Nadira has Rs 50,000. Besides, Babbar has bank deposits worth Rs 2.709 crore, and wife Nadira has Rs 1.70 crore in banks and fixed deposits, the affidavit said.
The yesteryear actor has an investment of Rs 26.91 lakh, while his wife has Rs 5.45 lakh in shares and mutual funds.
The Congress leader owns two vehicles Innova and an old model Mercedes, while Nadira did not have any vehicle, it said. Babbar had 600 grams of gold, while Nadira has 1000 gram of gold jewellery valuing over 21 lakh, besides other investments such as values of claims/interests of the couple included are 52 lakh, the affidavit added.
The immovable assets including five non-agricultural land, flats in Mumbai of Babbar and his wife are worth Rs 4.4 and Rs 1.63 crore respectively, it said.
