Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Friday served a month's ultimatum to Marathi-speaking government officials in Mumbai warning them of "appropriate steps" if they do not help stop "influx" from North India.

"I hope all officials will cooperate to stop the influx coming from North India within a month otherwise MNS will have to take appropriate steps," MNS chief Raj Thackeray said in a release here on Friday.
The decision to send out the appeal was taken at a close-door meeting of MNS held in Mumbai.
