“If the BJP will get a clear majority, it is committed to building the Ram Temple at Ayodhya,” Joshi, party’s nominee from the temple town, told PTI, adding construction of the temple was a matter of “nishtha and aastha” (commitment and faith) for the party.

To a question, he said the party never backtracked from its commitment of building a Ram temple at Ayodhya and added the issue can be sorted out only through consensus or enacting a law.

“If a consensus on erecting the structure is not reached, BJP will go ahead with enacting a law for this purpose."

“Ram Temple is not only ours but the issue of the whole country and a demand of the whole nation. Construction of the temple is important for the country. It is better if all get it constructed by a consensus, otherwise the party will do it by making a new law, which we have been saying for quite long.”
