Minister of state (MoS), PMO Jitendra Singh has said even after 66 years of independence, the areas of Ramban and Banihal continue to remain undeveloped and backward as they were before.
Addressing gatherings at Ramban and Banihal on Saturday, Singh said the ruling parties, including Congress and National Conference, had their priorities placed elsewhere and they did not allow these regions to grow, so that the people here could be kept perpetually deprived of the benefits of tourism, education and youth employment.
Singh held a series of public meetings at far-flung areas, including Charota, Rajgarh, Mohmangat and Ukhral in Ramban and Banihal assembly constituencies.
Lashing out at those leaders who misguided these people of the far-flung areas by saying that a BJP government would be biased against certain communities or castes, Singh said, these leaders should first be asked why, in that case, they make a beeline to present bouquets of flowers to Narendra Modi.
He said, "Leaders from all political parties are today constrained to acknowledge the universal popularity and supremacy of Modi, but when they come for election campaigning, they mischievously instigate the voter not to vote for Modi or his party."

In spite of hundreds of crore of rupees being pumped in the reason was very simple that the successive governments in the state have deliberately neglected Ramban and Banihal for political considerations.
