The drama over senior Congress leader Narayan Rane's resignation from the state cabinet is likely to continue with no conclusion coming out of the meeting between chief minister Prithviraj Chavan, state president Manikrao Thakre and Rane on Tuesday.

The resignation row is likely to end up in the court of Congress president Sonia Gandhi now, following which Rane is expected to take a final call on his future in the party.

"I am not satisfied with the meeting held today. I would like a clarification on all the points I have made in my resignation letter. The party has not made me any offer so far. I asked them to accept my resignation but they requested me to rethink,'' Rane said after the meeting.

He added, "We will meet Sonia Gandhi to discuss the issues raised by me. Chavan said he will seek her time for the same. I will take a decision post this meeting.''

Rane had resigned on Monday blaming Chavan's poor leadership for the party's rout in Lok Sabha. He had also expressed his unhappiness with party high command reneging on the promise to make him the CM.
