Amidst tight security measures, re-polling in 49 booths spread over six Lok Sabha constituencies of Jharkhand, which went for the first phase of polling on April 20, began on Friday morning.

The re-polling was ordered following incidents of looting of EVMs, besides faults being reported in the machines.
The re-polling, which began at 7 am, is going on in Hazaribagh (11 booths), Chatra (13 ), Dhanbad (three), Giridih (six), Koderma (eleven) and Palamu (five).
