The district administration is busy making arrangements ahead of President Pratibha Patil’s visit to the Millennium City scheduled on September 16.

The President will be the chief guest at a function to be held at Brahma Kumari's Om Shanti Retreat Centre in Bhora Kalan. Later, Patil is expected to attend a seminar at the Haryana Institute of Public Administration.

Gurgaon deputy commissioner PC Meena called a meeting of senior officers to discuss the arrangements on Tuesday.

Maheshwar Dayal, DCP (east), has been appointed the security officer and SDM, Gurgaon (north), Satender Singh Duhan will be the protocol officer. Meena also reviewed preparations by the traffic police and electricity department. He said cranes will be deployed to tow away vehicles and clear traffic jams. Meena directed PWD officials to remove uneven speed-breakers on the road between Bilaspur Chowk and Bhora Kalan.
