"If people find that only those with money power are able to secure election to the public office they will lose faith in the representative character of our democracy," he said releasing a book, Candid Corner, by Congress parliamentarian Abhishek Singhvi.

Referring to the issue of political funding, Singh said, "I believe that we must continue to pursue the agenda of reducing the role of money power in politics so that professionals find it easier to enter the public office."
