She was in the City to promote her upcoming movie ‘Naksha’. She said further that solo films are a great benefit in present times when multi-starrers are a rage. According to Sameera, her role of TV presenter in Naksha has given her chance to explore some action and adventure.
‘‘Though stunts do scare me, I tried my best to look comfortable with things like cliff jumping in the film,’’ said the young actress. About her being typecast in glamorous roles, Sameera denied it saying that it was just media hype. ‘‘For an actor it’s versatility to fit into both plain Jane and glamorous mantles,’’ said Sameera.
This South Indian girl just believes in doing what the director expects and feels that actors are not completely answerable to the society. Sameera said actors are like other human beings and unless they commit something really not good for the society they must not be blamed for every minute thing. ‘‘I am always ready to do anything to make the movie look better,’’ says Sameera.
Sameera who has acted in South Indian, Bengali and Hindi movies said she understands the language of acting. ‘‘So language is no problem for me,’’ said the Bollywood beauty.
Film’s producer Akshay Bajaj said that Naksha would offer a new genre of pure adventure movies to the audiences. Bajaj said he feels good that the new crop of producers is doing well in the industry.
Bajaj stated that big risks in the industry were necessary to have big gains. A producer must take risk to explore new concepts in his/her movie and encourage the actors to take up such projects too, he added. Lalit Ojha of Inox was also present on the occasion.
