Like these famous personalities, Jaitley too got his name included in the ‘protected status’— at least for the time being.
He earned the unique distinction when the Delhi High Court on Tuesday temporarily restrained USA-based Networks Solutions and M/S Portfolio Brains, an auction site for domain names from advertising, using or auctioning the domain name. www.arunjaitley.com.
Jaitley moved the court after he could not register a domain with his name. Network Solutions showed the same as ‘pending deletion’. Later he realized that it had been put up for auction at the price of $ 14,445.
When Jaitley requested them to transfer the domain to him, he was asked to participate in the auction. Jaitley’s lawyer Pratibha Singh argued before Justice S. Muralidhar that the name ‘Arun Jaitley is exclusively associated with her client.
