“I am not aware of it. But I will inspect the park and do the needful,” said the Huda administrator, who had issued instructions in December last year to upgrade the park.

The residents claimed that the dumping of construction debris in the park was done with due permission from a senior Huda official.

“The labourers, who were dumping the waste, told us that they had got permission from a senior official for the same. But they did not name the official,” said Ramesh Vasisth, a member of Residents Welfare Association (RWA), Sector 15-I. The RWA members first informed concerned executive engineer Naresh Pawar and requested him to inspect the site and get the waste removed.

“The official assured us that he would inspect the park and remove the debris, but nothing happened,” said another RWA member.

The Huda administrator had also asked the horticulture department to develop greenery and plant saplings.
