On Saturday, shopkeepers around the Taj Mahal were subjected to a now-familiar ritual — asked to down shutters, as yet another dignitary was in town to see the Taj.

The Saturday shutdown was “all the more painful” as it happened without any prior notice, shopkeepers rued. “We all expected the French president and his wife to visit the Taj on Sunday.

Suddenly that was changed and this meant losing out on customers,” said a marble shop owner. htc, agra
