Results for all municipal corporations declared

The results of elections for all seven Haryana municipal corporations- Panchkula, Karnal, Panipat, Ambala, Hisar, Rohtak and Yamuna Nagar have been declared. The results of elections for all seven Haryana municipal corporations- Panchkula, Karnal, Panipat, Ambala, Hisar, Rohtak and Yamuna Nagar have been declared. While for two municipal committees - FarukhNagar (Gurgaon) and Kalanaur (Rohtak) - they were awaited.


Of 20 wards in Karnal, 14 seats were won by independent candidates while three seats went to BJP and two to INLD. One candidate backed by Haryana Janhit Congress also secured win.

The voting for all municipal corporations and municipal committees was held on Sunday.

Over 1,600 candidates contested elections for 144 wards of seven corporations.
