RIL closes at Rs 715.50 on BSE in special session

Reliance Industries closed at Rs 715.50 a share at the end of a special trading session on the BSE.

Evoking extremely good response from investors, Reliance Industries on Wednesday closed at Rs 715.50 a share at the end of a special trading session on the Bombay Stock Exchange, convened for discovering new price of the company's share after its demerger.

Reliance Industries Ltd on attracted investors in a big way with a trading of about Rs 2,900 crore, just half an hour into a special trading session held on Wednesday morning.

Opening the day at Rs 702 a share, RIL scrip touched a high of Rs 726.40 and as many as four crore shares changed hands, a volume which is double the average of day's trading in the blue chip company.

As many as 1,160 block deals were transacted at the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange during the session for discovering new price of the Mukesh Ambani-held company after demerger of its power, telecom and finance businesses to give effect to the settlement with younger brother Anil.
